This is my first experience walking in the street at night at foreign country. Normally when I travel to other country I never walk at night. I always feel tired after walking for hours during the day time and I could hardly move my legs at night. It is quite an experience, and the city is qiuite crouded at night and nice beautiful lights. It it quite safe in Istanbul. I did not enter the dark and lonely areas. There is quite a number of grave yard in the city with high tombs. Some even have a cafe in the centre of the grave yard.Monday, May 18, 2009

Istanbul

The sea of Mamara , the water is quite clear , the sea is quite busy with ships and ferries , it is quite a nice place to visit especially if you like sea food. There is a fish market and seafood restaurants close to each other. If you have low budget there is a hawker selling some sort of fish wrap-up with bread and unions. I have tried it, not bad for the 4 YTL. For me I like fish for a change. I have eaten too much chicken kerbabs during my stay in Turkey. Mind you these kerbabs are original.

Public Transport in Istanbul
It is easy to travel in Instanbul by public transport. The system is very friendly, so do the people. It is reasonably cheap, 1.43 YTL per ride regardless the distance. The the futher the better. It is quite clean and new . If you are tired of walking and want to go for site seeing this is the best way and cheapest.
